• RE: Check-out and ad-hoc editing

    Josef,
This behavior has been surprising users for years now. The reason is some technical issue with automated version control kicking back in correctly after a check out. Nevertheless, I have never investigated whether is can be "reset". If it could it would be a database "hack" and therefore not a practical solution. The only work-around is to restore the document as a new document. Not really a work-around.

  • RE: Cloud 7.1: Updating a data file (file connection) fails: Device or resource busy

Seems  like a support issue to me. I do not have the answers to your questions. It could be that Autoindex if holding the lock. This has happened before.
    Please report it.

  • RE: 6.9 Server Migration

    Casey
There is a problem with 6.9 and 6.10 with the installer where if the
database already exists then it wants Auth sever to be running.
Of course it is not installed and therefore blocks you.
You need support to assist you at
    this point

  • RE: Install DocuWare On-Premise, but in Azure Cloud

The information is correct. A DocuWare On-Premise system is not supported in Azure and for that matter AWS. DocuWare Cloud utilizes a customized engine in order to operate in that environment. The issue is that Azure (and AWS) do not support the required IP protocol that DocuWare uses for inter-service communications.
So a VM in Azure or AWS is not the same as a VM in an on-premise installation.

  • RE: ODBC Connection Not Working After Upgrade

All you need to do is to create a 64 bit ODBC connection with exactly the same name as the original 32 bit ODBC connection. DocuWare Platform will then select the 64 bit ODBC driver.

  • RE: Notifications

The notifications configuration does not provide an AND / OR mix. It is either AND or OR so yes, you will need a notification configuration for each vendor if you need to be that specific.

  • RE: Document processing - Document splitting

DocuWare Import can split every x pages but not on an abitrary and constantly changing page count. To split on a specific page you must be able to identify a unique attribute on the page to split on. So if page 13 and page 17 have an attribute that can only be found on those pages then yes you could split on that.
So for example say the unique attribute was the word Split. Then you would tell DocuWare to split when it found that word at a specific location.
Then you would get 3 documents:
    Pages 1-12, 13-16, and 17-80.
You will need the Barcode & Forms module to accomplish this.
