A few years ago a company i hired a company to import a real estate database.  A problem has arisen where we can't find certain instruments due to leading spaces (i.e. Lot 17 may have four of five spaces prior to the first number and would look like ____17 instead of 17)  Is there a way to blanket remove all leading spaces in the field?

Good Afternoon Van,

Unfortunately there is not an out-of-the-box solution to this issue in DocuWare. To resolve this, one of the following woud be recommended:

1. Use the wildcard character * for searching. Based on your example, doing a search for *17* would return the record mentioned, and all records with 17 in the field you are searching on.

2. You can contact our Professional Services team at http://go.docuware.com/psquote and they will be able to get in contact and provide a quote for cleaning the data.

3. There is an Auto Index module available that would allow you to iterate through these documents and make changes to the field values based on set rules. The price for licensing this feature may be greater than what Professional Services would charge for correcting the data, but it may provide additional beneficial functionality to your business and DocuWare system.
