Behavior:
After upgrading a Fortis Workstation, users are unable to launch Fortis. It says "A workstation setup is required due to a new version of the software", even though the workstation setup already run.
Solution:
If this occurs on a Windows 7 machine, it is likely, that the Windows User Account Control (UAC) has prevented the installation from properly registering Fortis specific files and modifying the registry. When running the setup.exe from the "Fortis\WKSetup" directory, ensure you right-click and choose "Run As Administrator", even if you are logged into the computer with an admin account. This will ensure UAC is bypassed and the install can complete successfully.
