NOTE: I am demonstrating under a Windows account called Administrator. Typically it does not need to be an administrator; however, that windows user has to be a DocuWare user in DocuWare. I am including the images for better illustration.

DocuWare user has to be configure to use windows authentication:

The web instance has to be configured to use Trusted login:

In IIS7 you have to make sure that Windows Authentication module is installed:

The NTLM directory under the web client virtual directory has to be enabled with Windows Authentication:

Find the application pool that the web client instance is using and make sure the security is set to Network services.

== In Browser - IE ==  
(optional) In the browser set the Compatibility View Setting to the web address of the web client

(optional) In Internet option you can make sure that under security tab the web client address has been added to the “Local intranet” or “Trusted sites”.

Under the custom level you can check the option “Automatic login with current user name and password”

== In Browser - Firefox == 
Usually by default Firefox will not authenticate with Windows account. This is just a work around. If you want to proceed then you may have to do this in every client machine. There could also be add-ons for Firefox that may help you.
