How to check the availability of the Web Services?
Answer:
To be able to use the Web Services programming interface the following basic aspects should be given or checked:
- Is a network connection to the server established?
- Are the Web Services ports open on all firewall or similar devices between server and client? (By default 9007 & 9008)
- Is the Windows service "DocuWare Web Service" started?
- Opening the following URL will return a website as shown below? (Maybe the port has to be amended.)
- Opening the following URL on a client workstation (using the appropriate server name) will return a website as shown below?
