For various customers we have seen this happen, especially when multiple users are assigned tasks on the same document. If there can possibly be a way for workflow to WAIT for a lock to be released and then carry on, this would be highly preferable. The current state is that the workflow just exits with an error. Then the workflow has to be manually restarted via editing index entries. This leads to confusion especially when stamps have already been applied from decisions that have been taken on the document.
Phil I appreciate your confirmation of my understanding of how this works. I'll pass this along. Thank you.
I thought there was a checkbox in the Synchronization configuration to optionally create an inbox document tray for any new users which are created by user synchronization. Am I wrong? Was it there and now it's not in 6.12? In some environments, the desired behavior is for this to not happen, rather, to let the admin take care of all the document trays.
What's more, these auto-created "Inbox" document trays are invisible to the "Organization Administrator" role which can complicate things.
I don't know if this is a new behavior or if it has always been this way ...
I just want to get clarification if this is normal behavior or if I should open a ticket for this to be investigated. A relevant note: this customer has recently updated to 6.12 from a much earlier version (I'm not sure which earlier version) which might have behaved differently.
I found what I was looking for. On the Cloud system it looks like default is the first 100 pages are indexed.
Configurations > File Cabinet > My Cabinet > General > More options (link at bottom) > Configure Fulltext Search (link in middle)
That's gotta be what it was, the first and last pages part rings a bell. I knew they are kinda opposite processes, but didn't dawn on me at all.
Thanks, Josef and Phil. Cheers!
Workflow Designer is a component of Desktop Apps built on the .NET framework. Sadly yes, it is Windows only.
There is no textshot limit for Cloud systems? I can use fulltext in Cloud on documents reaching several thousand pages?
If that is the case then I certainly have gotten my wires crossed. Thanks for your clarification, Phil.
I know I have seen this information before, but now I cannot find the document that I was looking for. I keep finding information on how to increase the limit in on-premise systems up to 6.10 instead.
Thank you for any insights!
For an on-premise system, I know how to get the authenticaiton information from the intelligent indexing XML file, login to the intellix.docuware.com interface, and reset the modelspace.
How can I do this in a Cloud system?
