Generally, we cannot OCR an image based pdf that has been re-printed to a pdf. That said, can you email me a couple of sample documents, and indicate what the document type was before being printed or converted to pdf?

I assume that when you say it fails to open in a browser, you mean the DocuWare Viewer. A PDF is rendered to a PNG file for viewing in DocuWare. This then indicates that the DocuWare rendering engine is throwing the error. I suggest that you open a support request so that we can investigate what is happening. If this has only recently shown up as a problem, we may be able to find what happened to cause this.
Please be sure to include a couple of example documents when you create the support request.

There is no solution for what you wish to do. Notifications are triggered on an event, not on a cycle. If a workflow is not suitable then I would suggest a customized SDK program to do what you require.

Printer and Import use the same format for configurations. All I can tell you about any of the settings is that they are all contained generally in the field "settings" as an XML blob.

You need to open a support request. It appears that the table is corrupt in some way.

It is actually desinged that way. The reason being that all users have a default try called Inbox. The actual ID of the tray is a GUID making each tray unique, even though they may have the same display name.
The File Cabinets on the other hand have a unique folder in the file system based on the name of the file cabinet. That is why they cannot be duplicated.

It seems to me that the rendering engine could be timing out. It is hard to say without inspecting your system and looking at the server load.
I am no sure if there is a timout setting that can be changed, and even if there were it might only mask another problem that might be addressed. There is no possiblity to change the thumbnail size. The numbers in the thumbnail URL is it's identifier.
