We have a client who is asking about using some software called Beachhead Solutions PC encryption. They were wondering if this could be applied to the DocuWare server or if it would cause any issues. Here is a link to the software page https://www.beachheadsolutions.com/
I can open multiple excel files from my desktop without any issue. Even though I have multiple open there is only one Excel.exe showing in my task manager. We are on 6.12 with the latest hotfix pack applied.
Our office manager tried editing an Excel file that was stored in DocuWare. However, when she tried to right click and select edit she received 2 error messages. The first one stated "Editing this file type is not supported in DocuWare" then the second showed "Sorry, we couldn't find C:\Users..... , Is it possible it was moved, renamed, or deleted?"
After some testing I found that if she had Excel opened before editing the stored document she would receive these errors, if she closed out of Excel before selecting edit for the stored document it would work fine. Is this acting like it should?
I would like to know this as well.
So we are getting ready to migrate a Fortisblue client. According to this post https://www.docuware.com/forum/english-forums/fortis-fortis-blue-questions-about-usage-and-configuration/upgrading-fortis-docuware we are to upgrade from 2.5 to 6.8 then 6.9, 6.10, 6.11, and then 6.12. Is this correct? This is confusing because when I look at the FAQ https://www.docuware.com/support_faq/index.php?action=artikel&cat=207&id=3444&artlang=en&highlight=Fortisblue it does not show any download for 2.5 or higher.
1. Do we need to upgrade step by step all the way to 6.12 for FortisBlue?
2. If so where do we need to download the software from?
Does DocuWare integrate with Docusign? The client is wanting to be able to send a document from DocuWare to someone for a signature that uses Docusign. Would this be possible?
Definitely I am seeing the same, that most everyone is liking DW much better after they start using it. The only complaints we have had is the slowness. The customer that first stated it had a brand new 2016 server installed and their network is gigabit, so they shouldn't be having issues with the hardware. I am hoping something in IIS or somewhere else could help speed it up a bit.
We have a client that is stating their Fortis system seemed much faster than their new DocuWare system. They stated that when they open documents it appears to take a bit longer to show it than it did in Fortis. I was just wondering if there are any speed tips or tricks in order to make the system feel faster/smoother? Are there any settings in IIS that could be increased to help with this?
Awesome, thanks for the information
Just wanting to see if there is a limit on how many documents can be processed through Intelligent Indexing on a daily basis, or if there is a limit? We have a client that processes about 1500 documents a day and they are wanting to know if there are any limits or if this could slow down a server by doing this many?
