Question:
What has changed for workflow manager during update?

Answer:
Because we have optimized internal structure and handling in Workflow Manager, there are some changes done during the upgrade.

  1. When upgrading the Workflow Manager, no active document instances should exist.
*Note: At the moment all active document instances are reset and cannot be used! With the SQL scripts, that can be found in the end of this article, you can reset the instances to begin the configured workflow manually directly after the upgrade. Before executing this script we recommend to do a backup of the dwworkflowengine database. Please execute the sql script in the database dwworkflowengine only. There are script for different database types (MSSQL, MySQL) available.
  2. After the update all workflows are unpublished and must be published again.
