This occurs when attempting to mail documents out of Fortis, and the "Mail" option is greyed out under the "File" drop-down menu. Typically, this happens on new workstations.
1. Check the version of Outlook or other mail client; 64-bit applications are not supported.
2. Make sure the mail client has been opened and configured.
3. Add the following to the registry for the machine (some of these keys may exist already):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Messaging Subsystem
Add a String variable MAPI with a value of 1 to this location
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles
Create a String value named DefaultProfile and set the data to Outlook.
