After upgrading to 6.11, Autoindex jobs are failing with the following error message:
“Autoindex job aborted due to error during run Database connection not established. Please verify if it is available.”

Prior to 6.11, Autoindex jobs were performed by Workflow Server. Now, they are performed by Background Process Server. This error occurs if the BPS Server doesn't have access to the file connection utilized by the Autoindex job.

The most common scenario leading to this error is if the DocuWare installation is distributed across several servers, where BPS and Workflow Server don’t exist on the same machine.

In DocuWare administration, modify the storage location that holds the datafile, and change the local path to a UNC path accessible from the other machine.
