Why do multiple DocuWare (i.e. Test or DEV) systems need to be in different subnets?
Answer:
DocuWare utilizes Microsoft Message Queueing to relay information between the DocuWare servers. When multiple systems are in the same network subnet, there is the possibility that one system will pick up the message queues from the other systems.
This is because Microsoft Message Queues are not given destinations, they are simply placed into a queue to be picked up by another machine. To prevent the other systems from doing so, if there are multiple DocuWare systems they must be on different subnets.
