Behavior:
While importing, scanning, or printing documents via the DocuWare Desktop app, you receive the following error;

"This implementation is not part of the Windows FIPS Validated cryptographic algorithms"



Solution:
By product design, DocuWare Desktop Apps does not support FIPS-enabled environments. 
 
To Disable FIPS on the local machine:
  1. Access the "Local Security Policy" of the machine.


     
  2.  Navigate to Local Policies  > Security Options.

     
  3. Look for the policy "System Cryptography :Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing" and disable it.

     
  4. Apply your changes, then select OK. 
     
  5. Restart the DocuWare desktop service and application, then reprocess your documents.
