Question:
How can we increase the performance of File Cabinet Synchronization?

Answer:
While upgrading server hardware and improving your internet connection are the most effective solutions, it is possible to optimize performance by adjusting key parameters within DocuWare.BPS.Processes.settings file;

Navigate to C:\Program Files\DocuWare\Background Process Service\SynchronizationProcess and open the DocuWare.BPS.Processes.settings file. Then, locate the RecordsInBlock and MaxParallelProcesses parameters.
Note: For DocuWare systems 7.10 and below, the DocuWare.BPS.Processes.settings file will be located at  "C:\Program Files\DocuWare\Background Process Service.

Adjusting these parameters can enhance synchronization performance by optimizing how many documents and processes are handled.

  • RecordsInBlock: This setting defines the number of documents processed simultaneously.
  • MaxParallelProcesses: This setting defines the maximum number of concurrent processes.
