Everything you need to know about the WebClient ReadOnly
With a Web Client ReadOnly license, an unlimited number of DocuWare users have access to the Web Client ReadOnly.
It is a separate Web Application (…/PlatformRO/WebClient) with a reduced set of functionalities available.
Currently the Web Client ReadOnly Application is available only in DocuWare On-Premises Installations
There are the following key differences to client licenses such as a named license:
- As soon as the license is installed in your organization, all users can additionally login to the Web Client ReadOnly.
- Users logged in via the Web Client ReadOnly have no modification rights to documents. This includes annotations.
- You cannot define which users may only log in to the Web Client ReadOnly.
- The Web Client ReadOnly does not replace the rights management of your organization. You must also configure the rights that the relevant users may have, even if you only want to use the Read Only WebClient. This includes modification and read rights, as well as the visibility of archives and documents.
