Behavior:
When attempting to migrate a workflow created on the DocuWare Workflow Designer app to the new web based Workflow Designer, you encounter the following error.

Error: The workflow could not be migrated. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

 

Solution:

By product design, if there are no activiuties on the orgional Workflow's canvas, the system will not migrate a blank workflow. There are two options to resolve this error either or.
 

  1. Edit the workflow in the DocuWarte Workflow Designer app, save your changes, then migrate the workflow into the web-based Workflow Desginer. 
     
  2. Recreate the effected workflow in the web-based Workflow Designer.
