I want to create a Task list in a v6.12 DW cloud system that shows every document except those that contain the word 'Complete'. Examples are 'Engineering Complete', 'Billing Complete', 'Shipping Complete', etc. There is no "Does not contain" option so I am using the Is(where clause) option. I have tried "NOT *Complete* and NOT LIKE %Complete% , with and without quotes,to no avail.

Does anyone have the correct syntax handy?

All clues appreciated,

I think check your quotes, NOT should be outside, otherwise it would be looking for NOT in in the index value.  NOT LIKE "*COMPLETE"   might do it...

In MySQL Query Browser this works; WHERE STATUS LIKE '%complete'

In DW this does not; LIKE '%complete'

nor does this; LIKE "*complete"

or this; LIKE "complete"

or this; LIKE 'complete'

As always, any clues appreciated

Thanks

Steve, I think that using whre (like clause) with the value set just as  NOT *Complete*

No Quotes just NOT in all caps and to astericks around the word you want to exclude.

This should work

Thanks Josef. You are, of course, correct. Thanks again.

Everyone,
Search syntax in DocuWare has changed very little since the days of the Windows Client. Search help  has always been available in the Admin tool, and is available at help.docuware.com.
