server migration to AWS

I have a client that's planning to move their two DW servers and the SQL server to AWS.  I've done numerous migrations from one on-prem server to another - will going to AWS be any different? Any gotchas I should be aware of?

I'm curious to know how AWS is different from any other cloud servers.  We’re currently running without issue in a private cloud, and are moving to our own AWS tenant… can you provide more details?

and I note that the same kb article also says "Terminal servers and domain controllers are not supported for DocuWare Server installations" and I've done both of those things several times.  In fact, here's a kb article on how to setup desktop apps in a terminal server environment:

so is this a case of AWS is not technically supported but it kinda is, like terminal servers?

Hi Jon, 

that KB you mentioned means that running the DocuWare Server Services themselves on a terminalserver or a domain controller is not supported. 
Desktop Apps are a complete different thing and can be run on a TS or a DC.

Regarding AWS/Azure its the same I think, Server services not supported, Desktop Apps are probably fine.

The issue will be all around the Windows Message Bus.  Since it is a multicast service, if you have multiple servers, it will be an issue.
