Which purpose does the new service "Background Process Service" have?
Answer:
With the new Background Process Service we introduce a scalable service, that can host different implementations to fulfill various tasks within a DocuWare system. In this first version it hosts the new implementation of Connect to Mail: KBA-35705
Scalability:
- Multiple instances per machine
- Multiple installations across the network
- Multiple processes per machine
Configuration files:
- Logging: %ProgramData%\DocuWare\LoggingConfig
- Important settings for service: installation directory\DocuWare.BackgroundProcessService.exe.config
- Default temporary directory: %ProgramData%\DocuWare\Temp\BPS
