How can I change the sort order of fields in a dialogue?
By default, DocuWare will arrange fields in alphabetical order when you create a new dialog. Fields added to the cabinet after the creation of the dialogs will be added to the bottom. Using the admin tool, it is possible to change the order in which the fields appear.
- Navigate to the dialog that you want to modify. Click on “Set Field Order” on the right side.
- In the dialog that appears, select the field you want to move, then use the up/down buttons at the bottom of the window to select the position you want the field to appear in.
- (Optional) if you clear the checkbox on the right side, that field will not appear in the dialog.
- Click OK to close the dialog. You will see your changes updated in the Fields Layout. Click apply to save your changes.
Note: Users can further customize the field order in result dialogs by clicking and dragging the column headers to rearrange them. They cannot show any columns that you have marked invisible, and they cannot customize the layout of search or store dialogs.
