DocuWare support encryption between application and database over network?

Does DocuWare support encryption between the application and the database?  I know DocuWare requires HTTPS between the user and the application (and we have that configured). I also know DocuWare does NOT support encrypted databases.  But how about between the application and the database?  Can that network connectivity between APP & DB be encrypted as it goes over the network (if APP & DB are on separate servers)?
