Hello everyone,

Our customer gonna change its Active Directory domain, and now we need to update our DocuWare On-Premise system to reflect this change. Docuware URL and User emails.

Does anyone know the proper procedure or best practices for changing the domain in DocuWare On-Premise? Are there specific configurations or services that need to be adjusted to avoid issues with authentication or user access?

Any guidance, documentation, or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The following must be done after a domain change:
1. The domain must be adjusted in the domain column of the dwserver table under dwsystem.
2. If a domain user was used for the services and app pools, this must be adjusted.
3. If a FQDN is used, the URL in the database must be adjusted in the DWSystemSettings for the WebconnectionSettings. In addition, the URL under dwmachine.config (located by default at C:\ProgramData\DocuWare\ServerConfig) must be adjusted.

After the changes, we recommend a MSMQ reset, in the following link is a KBA, which explains how to do a MSMQ reset: KBA-35787  · DocuWare Support Portal
