• Store Date

You will need to create a custom field and fill it with the dynmaic entry CURRENTDATE. There is no other way to show a field in a Store dialog.

  • DocuWare Service Account.

The answer is in the system event viewer.
Also, you will likely need to have all DocuWare services run with those domain rights.

  • Workflow User

Make sure that the user you specify has these rights:

    Functional right to create workflows.
    Rights to the file cabinet.

The error is quite clear, the user you have selected has insufficient rights. Check all those carefully.

  • Setting ODBC with 7.

    These steps must be followed:

    1. Create a 32 bit ODBC DSN connection to the database (ODBCAD32.exe).
    2. Open DocuWare Administration and register the connection (under database connections).

    3. Create a 64 bit ODBC connection with EXACTLY the SAME name as the 32 bit ODBC connection (ODBC Data Sources 64 bit).

In Configurations create your connection - Select lists etc..

  • Access.

What I mean is that in my experience, for DocuWare to be abel to read data from an Access database, you need to set up Access to have a user name and password. All of DocuWare's ODBC connections request a user name and password.

In any event, this issue is the subject of a support request, and it should be handled through that and not in the forum at this time.

I wil make this comment. In my testing with 7, I used an Access database to configure a 64 bit ODBC connection and it was successful. So let's see where the investigation goes, however as I said Access typically must be secured.

  • ODBC

For Access you need the Microsoft 64 bit Access driver, and the Access database must have a user name and password configured.

  • Stamps in WFM

Currently you cannot add an image to a workflow stamp so your method is the only way to apply a bitmap stamp at this time.

  • Upgrade.

    Chris,
I expect that the upgrade would have finished with errors in which case the logs should have been inspected. In any event, do not proceed. Open a support request so that we can see where the upgrade failed and correct it.

  • DocuWare 7

    Zack,

DocuWare 7 is challenging. There is no option to cherry pick even uninstalling Front-End or Back-End services. At the moment it is all or nothing.

  • Duplicate handling

You need  an Autoindex job and a Deletion policy. Add a field to the file cabinet called "Duplicate".
Configure the Autoindex job to find the duplicates but set it to process only the First found document. Write the word "Duplicate" in to the Duplicate field for the first document. Also be sure to filter this job so that it selects only documents where the field "Duplicate" is empty.

Run the job and check  carefully that the word Duplicate is only written to one of the duplicate documents. If this is true then configure a Deletion policy to delete documents where the word "Duplicate" is in the Duplicate field.

As I said, run the AIX job and be sure that it only flags the first document.
