Behavior:
One of the reasons that special characters of a language e.g. Latvian are not recognized when importing a document to a basket may be that the wrong OCR settings are used.
Solution:
- Create a new OCR setting, defining the language(s) to be recognized and assign this setting to the file cabinet, that is assigned to the basket the document has to be imported. This can be done in the Fulltext settings of the file cabinet settings of DocuWare Administration. Now be sure that CTS is restarted and Imaging worker are not running anymore.
- Check whether the attribute OCRTemplate of the basket setting (type DocuWare.Settings.WebBasket.WebBasketSettings) has a different value than 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000. You can find this setting in table dwfcsettings. If this is the case, set this value to 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000, restart the Content Server. Now the OCR template assigned to the file cabinet in DocuWare Administration should be used.
