An upgrade to DocuWare 6.10 is possible from DocuWare 6.5 or higher.

DocuWare Server and Web Components

Hardware

• CPU Cores: minimum 2 x 2,0 GHz, recommended 4 x 3,2 GHz
• RAM: minimum 4 GB, recommended 8 GB
• Hard disk:
  • minimum 5 GB free space
  • SSD recommended
  • Documents should be stored on a separate internal hard drive or external storage system

Database

• DocuWare Internal Database:
  • CPU Cores: minimum 2 x 1,4 GHz, recommended 2 x 3,2 GHz
  • RAM: minimum 1 GB
  • DocuWare recommends the use of Microsoft SQL-Server as Database system for Systems with more than 1 Million documents (without Fulltext) or with more the 200.000 document pages (with Fulltext).
  • DocuWare recommends the use of Microsoft SQL-Server or MySQL 64 Bit as Database when using Workflow Manager.
  • In larger installations we recommend to use a dedicated machine for the database

• MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle: 
  System Requirements of database vendor must be followed

Fulltext

• DocuWare Fulltext Service (required for searching in the full text of the documents):
  • CPU Cores: minimum 1 x 1,4 GHz, recommended 2 x 3,2 GHz
  • RAM: minimum 1 GB, recommended 2 GB
  • In larger installations we recommend to use a dedicated machine for Fulltext.
