Scenario:
I need to edit the hotfolders.xml file when running the Desktop service with a different user than the Local System; however, changes made to the file fail to update our import jobs.
Solution:
By product design, the hotfolders.xml file is stored in C:\ProgramData\DocuWare\Desktop. If the DocuWare Desktop Service is run by a user other than the Local System, it may instead be located in
%localappdata%/DocuWare/Desktop for the user running the DocuWare Desktop Service.
%localappdata%/DocuWare/Desktop for the user running the DocuWare Desktop Service.
