The e-mail notification (and "password forget" function) works in the internal LAN but not for users who are outside of the internal network.
- The firewall blocks the e-mails
- Usage of a Tobit SMTP Server in which the e-mail notifications are blocked through the gateway
Both reasons are not caused through DocuWare.
Please see the following FAQ for this if DocuWare Server is used in a DMZ.
For Docuware Version:
On the Tobit SMTP Server a rule must be added that all e-mails which are forwarded through a source PC (for instance DocuWare Server and/or DocuWare Web Server) have to be forwarded to the Tobit Server.
