Why are the external select lists not displayed?

If you disable the option "The user can turn filtering on or off in the Web Client", the user cannot longer decide whether the select list is filtered or not. Accordingly, the select list is always filtered by default! Due to technical limitations it is not possible to filter external select lists. For this reason, the external select lists are no longer displayed.

Instead, we recommend to use multi-column select lists. These special external select lists can be assigned in releation to to various fields. For example, a field "Contact" could be linked to the field "Company", so that after selecting a company, only the corresponding contacts are shown. This can be configured also the other way round, so that after selecting a contact, only the appropriate company is shown.
