We strongly recommend that you install the associated DocuWare Desktop Applications on a separate system (e.g. in a virtual machine) and not on your production system.
Why is that?
Please note that DocuWare Desktop Applications are always version-bound. If you test DocuWare 7.1 on your production system and install the associated Administration version, you will no longer be able to access DocuWare 7 organizations. Also, due to the different versions, some DocuWare Desktop Apps, like Connect to Outlook or Import, may not work anymore. To use all DocuWare 7 modules again you have to completely uninstall all locally installed DocuWare Desktop App components in version 7.1. Please also uninstall the “DocuWare Client Setup”, delete the downloaded setup file and install Version 7 again.
