Behavior:
When trying to drag and drop a folder in the Windows Explorer Client from one location to another, you receive the following notification,

"To avoid inconsistency of index data, folder can only be moved on the same level"

Solution:
If you attempt to move folders where the levels don’t match, then this notification will be shown.

For example, let's say we have the following folder structure setup in WEC (Windows Explorer Client) based on the following index fields.

Company_Name \ Account_Number \ Invoice_Number
Company_Name is level 1, Account_Number is level 2 and Invoice_Number is level 3.

If we tried to move a folder object named 23456 whose path is DocuWare\ABC\123456, to the path DocuWare\Testing Inc, this will result in the notification being shown since the levels of the path do not match.

If we were to move this folder to DocuWare\Testing Inc\54321, then this will allowed because our source location is level 2 and our destination is also level 2.

As long as the levels match, then the move will work.

KBA applicable for both Cloud and On-premise Organizations.
