How can we remove unwanted characters within a file connection in DocuWare Administration?

Removing unwanted characters from a file connection can be achieved using the Textindicator feature located in the DocuWare Administration Tool. Please refer to the following steps to remove unwanted characters in the file connection; 
  1. Open the DocuWare Administration Tool, browse to Your Organization > General >  File Connections, and open the file connection you wish to remove characters from.
  2. Navigate to the Settings section of the file connection and enter the symbol that you would like to remove in the Textindicator section. In this example, we will remove the * symbol from a CSV file 


  3. Once the character has been added and the change has been confirmed, the CSV file should now be displayed without the unwanted character.
