If a new secret key is applied to an Active Directory (AD) sync with a scheduled task does the task need to be recreated? 



Answer: 
Yes, when applying a new client secret key to an Active Directory (AD) sync configured with a scheduled task for user synchronization, the task must be recreated. Please refer to these steps to ensure seemless operation:

  1. Delete the existing Windows scheduled task.
  2. Restart the User Sync.
  3. Create a new Windows scheduled task for the user synchronization.

Note: As stated in our knowledge base article KBA-36614, please make sure that you use the same account as the domain user with which you started and configured DocuWare.ADSync.exe.
