Behavior:
DocuWare Desktop Job failed with the message "Automatic identification of the job workflow failed"

Cause:
Usually this error message is related to a wrong DocuWare Common OCR  installation.
Another cause might be a special character in import configuration name.

Solution:
In case a special character is used in the import configuration name please remove it.
Check if the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\DocuWare\OCR has all the necessary file in it. If necessary repair the component.

  • Check the OCR files with the tool
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\DocuWare\OCR\DocuWare.Tools.ToolkitDistribution.exe"
  • Copy the file DocuWare.CommonOCR.msi from the folder on the server  ...\DocuWare\Web\ClientSetupData\ to e.g. your desktop and choose rightclick > Repair.
