How to set up the Read Only Web Client in DocuWare version 6.5/6.6?

Answer:
Starting with DocuWare version 6.7 the Read Only Web Client is installed by default along with the regular Web Client. 

  1. Open the file ...\DocuWare and Modules\PlatformRO\DocuWare.PlatformRO.cmd in Notepad (right click - edit)
  2. Verify and if necessary adapt the target web site of the DocuWare Platform Services
     ...
    set website=Default Web Site
    ...
  3. Verify and if necessary adapt the installation directory of the DocuWare Platform Services
    ...
    :64BIT
    set path=%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\DocuWare\Web
    bzw.
    :32BIT
    set path=%PROGRAMFILES%\DocuWare\Web
    ...
  4. Run the .cmd file as administrator on the web server
  5. Confirm the installation in command prompt with any key.
  6. The Read Only Platform (Web Client) is now installed. Afterwards you can open the Read Only Web Client using the URL: http://[myserver]/DocuWare/PlatformRO/WebClient/
