Which DocuWare versions support this new token-based authentication?

We have noticed that the Rest API Postman Examples https://developer.docuware.com/rest/examples/postman-collection-download.html has changed and DocuWare now supports Token based Authenfication. Our question is: since which DocuWare versions is this new Token based authentication (3.a Request token with user and password) supported?

We are currently using the Forms Authentication from older Postman examples in our DocuWare Connector and want to support older DocuWare installations as well.

The Platform REST API supports this authentication method from version 7.4 on.
For older versions the old variant is necessary.
