Full Text Search - Unable to Connect
Recently upgraded from 6.7 to 7.1 and moved to a new server but having issues with the full text server for some of our cabinet. We're getting "unable to connect to remote server". I kept all the settings the same and made sure I moved the original files from the old server to the new one before installing Docuware. I've read that full text search may need to reinstalled but would like some input before moving forward.

No Storage Capacity Left
Some users are experiencing a capacity error when trying to clip a document from their document tray to a document stored in a cabinet. This error has appeared only after upgrading our system from 6.7 --> 7.1.
What I've found is that in our old system we set the disk media size to DVD (4Gb) and would create a new disk when that disk got full. In the new 7.1 system it appears this is not the default anymore and will just set the latest disk to the size of our storage array.
Is this best practice or should I set it back to a size limit and how do we clip documents to another document where the disk is already full?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

RE: one column
**Fixed It**
Restart the IIS services appeared to resolve the issue.
I will be perform a full restart of all the services tonight to ensure things are working properly.

RE: one column
Did they just "restart" the IIS or actually did a reset because we have a redirect in place. It's weird it only seems to be affecting some people and not others but noticing more and more. -
RE: one column
We recently upgrade to DW 7.1 and some users are experiencing the same issue.
Has there been a solution made for this?

Pass Windows Authentication IIS
We setup an internal DNS register to take the URL docuware.[domain].com to our new DW server and while this works to get to the login page when we select "Windows Account" and click login we get the "Window Security" popup login screen.
But if I go to the server address directly and do the same thing it lets me in no problem.
I keep looking into the IIS setting to pass windows credentials through but obviously I'm missing something.
Our new DW environment is internal so you can't get it through the docuware.[domain].com url.
Any thoughts?

RE: DW 7 Basket Upgrade Failed
Nevermind,
I figured it out. It was related to the Content Upgrader error I was getting.

I had to remove the index key that was causing the issue and re-ran the setup and it works just fine. -
DW 7 Basket Upgrade Failed
Good morning,
I'm in the process of upgrading our DW system from 6.7 to DW 7+ and finally got it working on our test system but have run into a new error with user baskets.
I followed the upgrade path from 6.7 --> 6.12 --> 7 but when I login and go to my web basket (document tray) we get the "Basket '[web basket]'(version 5.1.0.1) is not upgraded to latest version 7.0.0.24".
Do I need to re-run the DW 7 installer or is there another module that will handle the upgrade? Also is this related to the DB or Content Server?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrade 6.7 --> 7+ MSSQL2017
We're currently on DW 6.7 and are in the process of upgrading to DW 7+. I have to documentation on the upgrade path, 6.7-->6.12 --> 7+ and have been successful up to 6.12 on a test server. My issue is that we have a brand new shine server built for the final version with the latest version of Microsoft Server 2019 and MSSQL 2017 but I'm unable to install our current version because I just realized 6.7 does not support MSSQL 2017.
My question is what is the best way to bring our DW to the latest and greatest and use our new server?
Can I finish the upgrade on our test environment to at least DW 7.1 which supports 2017, install DW 7.1 on the new server and then restore the DB and update the MachineID and other computer name items? Or do I need to install an older version of MSSQL (2014) on the new server to complete my project?
I'd like DW to use 2017 so we don't have to worry about another hardware upgrade for a couple of years.
Let me know if you need anything else from me.
Thanks,

Index Entries with Clipped Documents
Is it possible to auto populate an index field on the top level document from the last document when clipping?
Scenario:
User prints in Doc1 from ERP system and Doc2(email) from Outlook. Both documents have templates setup in the DocuWare configurator and identify and index the fields assigned. Both documents are setup to be stored in the same cabinet so they have the same amount of index fields.
When looking at the documents individually we can see the captured index fields accordingly. Lets say the cabinet has a total of 5 index fields; Doc1 fills in 3 index fields while Doc2 fills in the last two index fields.
When we go to clip the two documents together to store with Doc1 being the top level the captured index from Doc2 do not populate into the top level. I'm assuming this because they're technically two differently documents and clipping does not make them one document. It there an autoindex workflow that can look at the clip together documents, look at the document type of Doc2 and fill-in the index field on the top level?
Or do I need to write a little program to look at the XML of the clipped file and extract the info there?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
