Behavior:
Everytime you go to clip you are presented with a "Lock for document with ID **** failed." error message, if you are on DocuWare version 6.11. If you are on 6.9 or 6.10 you will see the error "This SQLTransaction has Completed; It is no longer usable.". 

Solution:
This error message is caused by having the XACT_ABORT option enabled on your MSSQL Instance. This will need to be disabled to get clipping to function properly. Follow the listed steps below to achieve this:  

  1. Log into the SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Right Click on your Database Instance.
  3. Select Properties.
  4. Select Connections.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and uncheck the option XACT_ABORT.
  6. Restart your DocuWare Services.
