Scenario:
When attempting to install or upgrade DocuWare, the following error occurs:

"A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.)"

Solution:
Ensure your database server has a valid SSL certificate installed on the local computer. Even if your site is not using HTTPS, DocuWare and the SQL server require this certificate to prevent the TCP error. If the issue persists, please submit a support request via our Support Portal for further assistance.

Note: DocuWare cannot provide an SSL certificate. While self-signed certificates can be used, they are inherently insecure as they are not validated by a third party. Please contact your IT department to set up the certificate
