 Is it possible to increase the performance of File Cabinet Transfer?
 

Answer:
While upgrading server hardware and improving your internet connection are the most effective solutions, it is possible to optimize performance by adjusting key parameters within DocuWare.BPS.Processes.settings file.
 

Navigate to C:\Program Files\DocuWare\Background Process Service\Transfer and open the DocuWare.BPS.Processes settings file. NOTE: For DocuWare systems 7.10 and below, the DocuWare.BPS.Processes.settings file will be located at  "C:\Program Files\DocuWare\Background Process Service.


Locate the RecordsInBlock and MaxParallelProcesses parameters.

Adjusting these parameters can enhance transfer performance by optimizing how many documents and processes are handled.

  • RecordsInBlock: Defines the number of documents processed simultaneously.
  • MaxParallelProcesses: Defines the maximum number of concurrent processes.
