Behavior:

After updating to DocuWare 6.1 it may happen that the following error is displayed:
"Unable to load DLL 'DocuWare.SmartConnect.Hook.dll': The specified procedure could not be found. "Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007F)"

Solution:

  1. First of all verify whether Smart Connect has been updated after finishing the general Smart Connect update procedure. To do so click on the Smart Connect link in the start menu of the Web Client, if necessary the latest version will be installed automatically.
  2. Use the specified file from a working environment or download it using the link below:

https://www.docuware.com/dw_support/dw/DocuWare.SmartConnect.Hook.zip

After downloading it, copy the file in the installation folder of Smart Connect. Example folder given below (folder names may differ, but the structure is the same on every system):
