Folllowing message occurs when using DocuWare Import, Recognition or HTML 5 Viewer:
OCR can not be initialised (or Failed to Connect to Nuance License Server)
On the workstation, open the Host file (By default in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc) add the following parameter or delete the # sign (see screenshot):
After stopping the NuanceLS process in Task Manager execute your process again.
If you get a timeout or an error while capturing the window of the application which should be used for Smart Connect, please check if the hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) was adapted.
If you find a IPv4 loopback-address (e.g..: 127.0.0.1 localhost) which is not commented out by a "#", a IPv6 loopback-address (e.g.: ::1 localhost) is also needed.
