Question:
When performing an upgrade, will my Internal Database be upgraded to V2?

Solution:
When upgrading to DocuWare 6.9 and higher from an earlier version, the Internal Database version will remain the same. Internal Database V2 is only installed through the setup during a clean install of the Internal Database.
If you would like to utilize Internal Database V2, please follow the steps below.

  • Backup ALL DocuWare databases. (Analyze the backups to make sure they are valid before uninstalling).
  • Uninstall Internal Database.
  • Install the Internal Database through the setup, which will install the V2 database.
