Question:
Why are .DWCL files appearing in my DocuWare FTP Folder?
Why are .DWCL files appearing in my DocuWare FTP Folder?
Answer:
DWCL files are created when an Autoindex job uses an external file (e.g., a CSV). Once the Autoindex runs, this file is created as a copy, so it doesn't block the original file. DWCL files are usually deleted after the Autoindex job is finished.

If the Autoindex or another Autoindex job runs again before the DWCL file is deleted, it may result in the file failing to be deleted, thus remaining in the FTP folder location. To delete the DWCL files, please stop all jobs using the external file, so they do not run while FTP attempts to delete them. Additionally, it is best practice to make your Autoindex triggers distinct while minimizing overlapping triggers between them, as this could cause this issue to reoccur.
