During PDF/A conversion, a color profile is generated and embedded in the file, which greatly increases the size. By product design, no further adjustments to these files can be made from the DocuWare software that would lead to an improvement in the document size. Nonetheless, it is recommended to create a PDF/A letterhead without special PDF optimization tools to alleviate this behavior. This can be done by utilizing PDF rendering sites such as PDF-tools.com, for example.
