Where can I find the log files for the storageRobot?
Answer:
If you open a support case, you should send the associated log files, especially if the affected application indicates an error. In some cases, configuration-specific log files are also created.
The log files are usually stored in the folder %localappdata%\StorageRobot\
A subfolder is created in this folder for each configuration for which log files already exist. The log files of the administration tool can be found in the folder (Administration Tool)
There are three common scenarios here:
- If the Observer service is used, it is the user that is stored for the service. The “Local System” account should generally be avoided.
- If the storageRobot configuration is started from the task planner, a user is also stored here, in whose %localappdata%-directory the log files are located.
- If the configuration is started directly from the administration, this is the user logged on to Windows.
