Behavior:
As Windows 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2 was released after DocuWare 6.1, these operating systems are not officially supported for DocuWare 6.1 and later versions of DocuWare.
Because of that, no guarantee can be given that all functions of the DocuWare Windows Client are working correctly.
Additionally, the Product Management has decided, that Windows 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2 will not be supported as operating systems for Windows Clients (thick client) for upcoming versions of DocuWare.
This restriction does not affect the Web Client.
Solution:
Known Issues:
- Windows Client might crash if result list sort order is changed
- If "show checked-out documents" is activated, the Windows Client might crash
Workaround: We recommend to predefine the best sort order in the administration and use a new search instead of changing the sort order in the result list
