Solution:
If you are asked for the DocuWare Version and there is just a database backup available, you can find the DocuWare Version in the database. The DocuWare Version can be found in the database dwsystem in the table dwsystemsettings.
Check the settings in the row with sysid 1. Here you can find the assembyVersion:
