 Question:
Which components do I need to install in a DMZ?

Answer:
Starting with DocuWare 6.7 the web components connect directly to the database server. Therefore it is not recommended and not supported to install DocuWare web components in a DMZ.
The web components should be installed within the LAN only. The web server in the DMZ acts as a reverse proxy then. All requests will be redirected e.g. via ARR (Application Request Routing) to the appropriate internal web server.

You'll find a description how to setup up a web server as a reverse proxy with ARR here:
http://www.iis.net/learn/extensions/url-rewrite-module/reverse-proxy-with-url-rewrite-v2-and-application-request-routing

In section "Configuring Rules for the Reverse Proxy" you need to redirect all requests to http://.../DocuWare/ to your internal DocuWare web server.
If you need assistance, we will process your request within the scope of our Professional Services. Please send your inquiry to professional.services.emea@docuware.com to request a non-binding offer.
