This message is displayed during setup if there is a wildcard configured for the binding of the website on which DocuWare is hosted. This is a new feature of IIS10, which is currently not supported by DocuWare Setup.

 

Solution:
To remove the wildcard from the Host Name field of the binding, please follow these steps:

  1. In the left pane, click on the website that contains DocuWare.
  2. In the right pane, click on "Bindings...".
  3. Select a binding containing a wildcard in Host Name.
  4. Click on "Edit...".
  5. In the hostname field, replace the wildcard (e.g., with a fully qualified domain name FQDN or the machine name).
  6. Repeat these steps for other bindings of this website which contain a wildcard.
