index value profiles not working-1515159131

Hi,I cannot get custom search to work.I want users only to see their own documents, but cannot get the Index value profile to work. I have to users in the system. The index value profile is configured like this: first name is equal login of the user.both users are assigned to this profile. I have stored two documents in the system which have the metadata "first name" filled out for each user.So if I just click search, both documents comes up for both users. In my head, each user should only see their own document now.  What have I missed?  

Can you post an an example and perhaps a screen cap. I'd like to see the actual value in the First Name field, and the actual DocuWare User names.

Those look good. Now can you post a screen cap of the query you are using for the filter?

I have tested this as per your set up and the filtering works as it should. The problem you have is that both users exist in another search profile. Possibly in a Group or Role. Review those settings so the users do not exist in another Search profile allowing them access to all the documents. Keep in mind that rights are "additive" so the profile with the most rights will be used.
